About

A small studio for the things you touch every day

HOMA started in 2024 with one mug and a simple complaint: most homeware is either expensive and fragile, or cheap and loud. We wanted the middle — useful, quiet, and honest about what it is made of.

Dehua, Fujian — 25.5°C, 70% humidity

The first collection is twelve pieces. A mug, four plates, a tray, a vase, a throw, two cushion covers, a rug, a runner, a candle and a basket. Nothing that needs a special occasion.

We work directly with four workshops and pay for the second wash, the extra glaze test and the thicker box. That is most of the price difference between us and a marketplace listing.

If something is not right, tell us. The two people who answer the messages are also the two people who pack the orders.

Three rules we do not break

01

Name the material

Stoneware, not “ceramic”. Black walnut, not “wood”. If a blend is 55/45, we write 55/45.

02

Measure the object

Every piece has a measured size and weight. Handmade variation is listed as a range, not hidden behind “may vary”.

03

Keep the batch small

Four workshops, limited runs. When something sells out we wait for the next batch instead of switching to a cheaper factory.
